The human intrusion detection system is a new development from Vanderlande that has been designed to help stop unauthorised persons gaining access to airside. The baggage handling system makes use of moving belts bridging both land- and airside areas, which is an innovative and unique way for people to reach airside without having to pass through security checks. The system helps to:
- prevent airside access
- increase security and safety
- elevate detection rates to a near-certain level
- minimise false alarms.
To reduce the possibility of children or animals being transported unintentionally, the new system will offer almost certain detection, while also decreasing the number of time-consuming false alarms.
