WHAT IS GYROFLY

GYROFLY is a Brazilian company based on national technology in the aeronautical field, focused on research, development and commercialization of remotely piloted aerial platforms with rotary wings (RPAs), popularly known as multirotor Drones. It provides its clients with engineering, training, maintenance and aircraft customization services.

The concept of the business, as well as its P, D & I operations, started in 2007 at Incubaero, the business incubator at the Institute of Aeronautical Technology (ITA / DCTA). Since its inception, it has gone on to support the development of robotic systems for large research centers and national institutions such as ITA - Aeronautical Technology Institute, UFABC - Federal University of ABC, UFSC - Federal University of Santa Catarina, UFC - Federal University of Ceará, UFA – Federal University of Alagoas, among others.

Since 2009, with support from the Financier of Studies and Projects (FINEP), it has gone on to develop its scientific and technological capability with the development of proprietary technologies for avionics command and control systems,. Its first project, the GYRO 500 X4, was the first generation of mini multirotor helicopters developed in the Brazilian market, with 100% national technology.

Since the beginning of the company`s activities, it has been developing and commercializing 100% Brazilian technology, including carbon structure, embedded hardware and software for control, guidance and navigation. With this technological mastery, GYROFLY can provide customers with customizations of our products, support, training, greater guarantees and national spare parts.

In 2011, the company moved to the Business Center, located at the premises of the Technological Park in São José dos Campos, offering an extensive network of services direct to users in order to facilitate absorption of this new technology in the fields of science, surveillance, advertising and security for people and property. That same year, GYROFLY became a member of the Local Productive Arrangement - APL Aerospace, coordinated by the Eastern Region Sao Paulo Center for Competitiveness and Innovation - CECOMPI. In 2014, it became associated with AIAB – the Brazilian Aerospace Industries Association, and a member of the IFI CESAER Catalogue – the Ministry of Defense Institute for Industrial Promotion and Coordination.
